This large collector’s edition set consisted of many pieces, including a softcover and hardcover art book, a set of bookends, a soundtrack, a game, a Steelbook case, and an outer box. For this set, I relied on a screened back map texture from the game, allowing the logo and character art to draw focus.

The outer box was a type of box we called a "double" neck box - with interlocking panels that slid apart to reveal character art inside. The box was printed on a soft touch matte finish stock, with spot varnish hits around the side revealing magical glyphs and the game’s logo.

An animated GIF was created to show the licensors and printer how the box functioned.

Inspiration was taken from the Diablo III box, the Overwatch collector’s edition, and luxury watch boxes, all of which we felt offered an interesting experience for the customer.
