Almost 100 individual pieces of art had to be colored for Epic Spell Wars 5. Working closely with artist RS Bixby to mimic the style of previous games, pieces were revised after completion and passed on to another designer to be put onto cards.
Assignment: Color art to be used on cards, create 3D beauty shot, and create marketing graphics for various social media.
Inspiration: the colors and shading of the previous four Epic Spell Wars games.
A 3D beauty shot was rendered in Blender for use on the company’s e-store and across social media.
Graphics were created in a variety of sizes for online use, and were intended to look crazy and visually overstimulating (like the game). This provided a challenge to balance readability with the game’s crazy aesthetics.
